#Rewind9ja Contest — Official Rules

These Official Rules govern the #Rewind9ja video contest (the “Contest”), run by REWIND (“we,” “us,” “our”), the music game at rewindcard.com. By entering, you agree to these Rules and to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. No purchase or payment is necessary to enter or win.

1. Contest period

The Contest opens on September 15, 2026 and closes at 11:59 PM WAT on January 15, 2027. Entries submitted after the closing time will not be considered. We use our servers’ clock as the official timekeeper.

2. Who can enter

• You must be at least 13 years old at the time of entry.
• Everyone who appears in your video must be at least 13.
• You must be a legal resident of Nigeria with a valid Nigerian bank account to receive a prize.
• Our employees and their immediate families are not eligible.
• By entering you confirm you meet these requirements and that everything you submit is your own original recording.

Under 18? Please make sure a parent or guardian is okay with you taking part before you enter.

3. How to enter

1. Play REWIND free at rewindcard.com. Play a full game with these settings: first to 7 cards wins, 3 skips each.
2. Film the whole game, unedited, with every player clearly visible on camera from start to finish. Keep this recording safe — if you’re shortlisted, we’ll ask you for it to confirm fair play.
3. Make a fun 60-second edited cut of your best moments — this is your actual entry. Funny, dramatic, chaotic: that’s the point.
4. Post the 60-second cut publicly on TikTok, Instagram, or X with the hashtag #Rewind9ja and tag @rewindcard. It must be public so we (and the world) can see it.
5. Submit your entry at rewindcard.com/enter — just paste the link to your public post. That’s it.

You may enter more than once, but each entry must be a separate, genuine game. One prize per person. Only shortlisted finalists are asked to send their full unedited game recording (an unlisted Google Drive or YouTube link is fine) so we can verify fair play before a winner is chosen.

4. How winners are chosen

This is judged on the best video — not the best player. You do not need to win the game or know every song to win the Contest. Our panel scores entries on entertainment value, humour, creativity, and energy of the 60-second cut. Skill at the game is not a judging criterion. The judges’ decisions are final and binding.

5. Prize

One (1) grand-prize winner will receive a cash prize of ₦1,000,000, paid in Nigerian Naira. No cash alternative or transfer of the prize is available except at our discretion.

6. Fair play & disqualification

REWIND is a game of knowledge. To keep it fair:

• No looking up answers and no outside help. Any evidence — or reasonable suspicion — of searching for answers, receiving assistance, or manipulating the game will result in disqualification.
• All players must stay visible on camera for the entire unedited game. If we can’t verify fair play from your raw footage, the entry is void.
• Entries that are not your own, that infringe others’ rights, or that contain hateful, illegal, or explicit content will be rejected.

7. Rights you grant us

All videos you submit can and may be used for advertising, marketing, and promotional purposes, and submitting your entry means you agree to this. Specifically, by entering you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, edit, reproduce, publish, distribute, and repost your submission — including the video and audio, and the name, image, voice, and likeness of you and everyone who appears in your entry — across all media and platforms, forever and with no further payment, whether or not you win. You keep ownership of your video; you’re giving us permission to use it. You confirm that everyone who appears in your entry is at least 13, has agreed to this, and that you have their permission to grant these rights on their behalf.

8. The platforms

This Contest is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with TikTok, Instagram, Meta, YouTube, X, or any other platform. You provide your information to us, not to any platform. Your use of those platforms is subject to their own terms.

9. Winner notification & payment

We will contact the winner(s) using the email or social account used to enter, within 14 days of the closing date. To receive a prize you must provide valid government ID and Nigerian bank/payout details and respond within 7 days of being contacted. If a winner cannot be verified, is ineligible, or does not respond in time, we may select an alternate. You are responsible for any taxes on your prize. We may announce and feature winners publicly.

10. Changes, suspension & cancellation

We may modify, suspend, or cancel the Contest if fraud, technical failure, or any circumstance beyond our reasonable control affects its fairness or integrity, to the extent permitted by law.
